i have a cap air-2 climate controller and it isnt reading temps accurately. the probe is canopy height as well as a thermometer i have. the climate controller turns the fan on at 79 degrees even when my thermometer reads 71....
Its really all relative. I keep a probe at canopy height for temp measurements and I simply turn the dial on my Cap controller until I achieve the desired temp. Generally my CAP controller is set at 79 in order for me to maintain 75 on the canopy. The controller is not a precision thermometer, but instead more of a fan rheostat, but with other thermometers as a guide they are extremely affective at maintaining consistent temps.
