If you have watched tv in the past year, you have probably seen an Herbal Essences commercial. At the end, they say "Clearly, someones been doing the herbal." Am I the only one who thinks "doing the herbal" was not only a reference to the brand name, but also cleverly meant as a reference to weed? There are many difference ads in the series, but here is one of them if you havent seen the commercial: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OGaHJ7ErlM]YouTube - Herbal Essences... Someone's Been Doing The Herbal[/ame] Even some article thinks so too: AdFreak: Herbal Essences gets high on stoner chicks Thoughts?
I wouldn't put it past them, remember when their commercials were just women making orgasm noises in the shower? Edit here you go [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsfNXj9s-iY"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsfNXj9s-iY[/ame]
Seriously. I wonder if it's men or women making these commercials. Edit: Prepare for "if it was a commercial, obviously a man made it" jokes.
Dude... I seriously though I was the only one who caught that. The first time I saw that commercial I was like O.O hahahahahaha
When this came out in Australia I was the only one of my friends to get it, I was gobsmacked to say the least.
I just saw this commercial, googled the catchphrase, and this thread popped up. I'd say it is highly, highly likely that it's an intentional weed reference. it just fits too well. next time I see a pal with red eyes, i'll make sure to use the quote.
