Hello, I had finished a hydro grow a few months back ( ran into many issues towards the end ), and I was pretty unmotivated to go at it again. I am now starting to clean the room I used as a grow room, and need to make sure I have cleaned all supplies correctly, and replace the ones that are not salvageable. Questions: 1) What can I use to clean the grow rocks, buckets, and bubble stones? I was wondering of hydrogen peroxide with boiling water would work to remove any pollen/fungus that may have been present from my neglect to clean the grow room immediately after harvest. 2) Related to the first question, is hydrogen peroxide dangers to use as a cleaning solution to equipment involved in hydro growing? I realize most of the hydro equipment I am trying to salvage are inexpensive, but I would like to try and save what I can so I can get the grow started without hitting up the local hydrostore. Just a quick reply after each grow i use hydrogen peroxide with boiling hot water the stuff i use is this Liquid Oxygen contains hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) which is a highly unstable molecule. It will quickly break down in the nutrient tank releasing a free atom of oxygen. This oxygen atom is extremely reactive and will attach itself to either another atom, forming a stable oxygen molecule, or attack a nearby organic molecule, such as a virus or fungal spore. This will greatly enhance the photosynthetic process, leading to bushier plants with larger leaves, thicker stems and shorter internodes. Thanks for providing details so quickly! Normal household hydrogen peroxide should do the job at a decent rate if I do not have the name brand cleaning solution you mentioned below? Should it be heavily diluted?
HELL YEAH I would use a cap full of household hydrogen peroxide to a bucket full of hot water and when you have finished cleaning MAKE SURE YOU RINSE AT LEAST TWICE WITH fresh clean water that way your will be 100% sure no hydrogen peroxide residue is present but the stuff i mentioned is cheap as chip about £2.50 a bottle
