Chemically whats the difference between cloudy and amber trichomes

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by Airbender, Jul 13, 2015.

  1. I'm curious as to whats happening as the trichomes mature. Are there different cannabinoids coming into play? Is the thc maturing or something? I know cloudy= head high and amber = body stone but I'm curious as to which chemicals are doing what?

Some of the higher delta THC are degrading and lesser cannabinoids (CBD, CBN, THCV, etc...) are developing as a result. However during tumescense the terp gain is incredible and the maturing to amber gives a more balanced high. Imho.
