when is the best time to check your plants when the lights are on or off? I'd imagine when the lights are off
sorry I forgot to mention this would be a cabinet grow, so I figured you wouldn't want any light leakage by checking them when the lights are on, please correct me if I am wrong
leaks when lights are on is fine. leaks when lights off is the problem, during dark period they need total darkness. I usually check mine during lights on, but turn them off and use a cfl for a few minutes wile I check.
Your grow lights or the lights in your room? You should try to check your plants when your grow lights are on..leave them alone when the lights are off.
I'm starting to believe this. I have small holes in the ceiling I never got around to sealing up. OP, I check my flowering girls during their night time since lights are off from 6AM-8PM. Few minutes here and there hasn't hurt.
