If the same rules are supposed to apply all over the forum (including Nivrana, etc.), and chat threads in the public section aren't allowed, then they shouldn't be allowed anywhere else. Just my opinion.

Why? I mean, they aren't allowed because they slow down the servers right? Well, the servers have been upgraded....we just need someone with some sort of authority to keep on eye on them.... Just like that "Just write what's on your mind" thread. That thread was the best one in the city hands down. It was nice to have a place to write down your thoughts and have other members discuss what's on your mind with you. Just my 2 cents
Just 'cause the servers got an upgrade doesn't mean that really really long threads still don't bog them down.
Agreeeee, I miss that thread so much. I made a "How was your day?" Kinda just accidentally talking about my day. It was instantly deleted lol That is one rule I really hate on the forums
Hahahah that definitely wasn't the reason though. Of course, but why was that thread allowed before the servers were upgraded? It was because AK was keeping a close eye on it hence why I think they should be allowed as long as someone with authority (a.k.a a mod) keeps an eye on it like he did. Maybe not a bunch of chat threads, but one like "just write what's on your mind".
They can be cleaned out periodically and a new thread started. You know me, I'm cool with whatever the powers that be decide. I also am not shy about sharing my opinion
was alot of fun!...(if OSG gets an opinion i want one too!) ok....i got 2 opinions.....but i borrowed them both!!!!! if we put them together and "whoever" has an "eye" on the thread closed it and opened a new one....when it reached whatever "size" is deemed appropriate? i mean....idk just saying...............? but im good with whatever the powers that be decide as well......
Si! Well, this is the general feedback forum afterall where all opinions/suggestions are welcome. For sure it was a lot of fun! And well, I'm on another forum (uses vbulletin as well) and what they do with chat threads (that have over 1k pages) they close that thread and start another version of it. I guess something like that could be arranged?
