So I have been vaping for about a year, about a month ago I bought a aspire atlantis sub ohm tank and an istick 50w mod. I enjoy the set up but it doesnt preform how I want. I have seen people drip, yet have no idea where to start, nor really what to get as there is a shit ton of info out there that mostly just says my product is best, give me your money. So my question is this, what do I need, and how exactly do I get those massive clouds? Thanks Keystone
im not sure on the exact differences, but i just picked up an istick 60w temp control mod that came with a temp control/sub ohm tank, and from what ive experienced with it so far i can get a pretty mean cloud around 45w. as our former president pointed out, SO COOL!
Exactly what I am after.... Not at all to be honest. I just want the best vape experience I can get. Plus if I had something I could drip to, I could add my hash to it.
IMO, one of the easiest to use, and most versatile RDAs out there is the Velocity...you can buy a clone somewhere like Fasttech for under 20 bucks...as long as you're willing to wait a couple of weeks for delivery... Check out some of the RDA builds on youtube...might help give you a bit of an idea what you're getting into...you can also check out some of the builds in the coil porn thread...still not a huge thread yet, but it's growing...
High wattage device, low ohm coils, high vg percentage juice, high airflow, and technique. I wasn't getting huge clouds at first, but opened up my air path and changed my technique and the clouds are much larger.
Velocity with dual Clapton's on a series mech mod or 120w + reg device. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I use the 150watt segelei temp control box with a production flawless rda. that rda is made by the people who make the tugboat. (also a very popular rda) If you're going to use a regulated box mod you actually don't want to use low ohm like guy above said. regulated boxes are smart. if you drop a .15 build on a box and set it to 75 watts it reads 3.5volts. while if you place a build of .25-.3 ohms at the same 75 watts, you're achieving 4.7-5.9volts giving you a much denser bigger cloud. the boxes do this because they have built in safety features. if you were using a tuber mod with an rda i would say all the way, go buy a 40amp battery, throw a .1 build on it and chuck massive clouds all day...but thats really not how regulated. box mods work. With your 50w box i would suggest putting a solid .22-.25 build on it and keeping it at 50watts if you want hot big dense clouds. hope this helped. ALso as far as rdas go i would suggest checking out the Doge from congrevape, the production flawless(not cheap) the tugboat (not cheap) the dehringer (not cheap) or a mutation v2 or v3
lower ohms on regulated boxes= lower voltage. higher vg content, more airflow and technique will all help though.
Didn't know that about regulated devices. I wouldn't recommend using anything that won't let me adjust voltage.
I'd rather have a segelei that can't change voltage independently rather than an evod twist that can lol.
Why would you lower the voltage when using a regulated device? With a sigelei or whatever, you don't have to build for power, like on a mech. You don't have to stay at 4v like a mech. My castiogador never changes settings, there are none. Clouds on my dual Clapton velocity are annoying. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I would rather just buy a siegelei with temp control, and adjust voltage that way. No point in buying a fixed wattage/voltage device in my opinion with so many good options available.
I own a sigelei 150 watt with a velocity rda on it and it rips. I like to build at .3 and vape it around 50 watts with slightly restricted airflow.
