Im growing 5 plants....how many cfls do i need to vegs? I have 600 hps to flower but i dont wanna use that to veg...so i need to know how many an what size watt for 5 plants.....

CF CFLs will have two watt ratings on the package - the "equivalent wattage" meaning the incandescent wattage its equal to in light output, and the "actual" watts. For example, most 60W equivalent CFLs are 14W actual power. 100W equivalent CFLs are going to be 23W actual.

You need 35 of the 23w 6500k bulbs and a crap load of sockets, splitters and various other items if you plan on buying these items from a regular hardware store. It's not going to be cost effective. Have you considered a led set up or HID for your veg?
