So my salt lamps bulb it came with burnt out finally. It was a little brighter than I liked as a night light, but not overwhelming bright. So I replaced it with a duller 4watt bulb and now instead of a pinky orangry glow to it theres these whites grayish hue to it and is kind of weirding me out. It is not one singularly salt crystal like most its a bowl like this one[IMG]

So my question is this. Does the brightness of the light shining from the salt effect the energy theoretically emanating from the millions of year old salt. Does the bright warm glow emit good things whereas this dimly lit may not be beneficial and make one feel more dull.

  2. Clarify your question for me. Im high and that didn't make any sense

  3. Do you think the strength of light glowing from the lamp can affect the energy from the salt.

  4. I don't know the "science" behind it -- and I use the term loosely -- but I wouldn't think that it would make a difference. I have a lamp as well, and by my understanding, it's the heat of the bulb that leads to the desired effect of the lamp. Less heat might then mean less productivity, but if you left it on for a longer amount of time, I imagine you'd have the same results of a brighter bulb.

Then again, who the fuck am I? I don't know.  :confused_2:

  6. I'm surprised a 4w bulb makes this thing glow at all. I have a 15w bulb in my salt lamp and it barely glows.

  7. Wtf is a salt lamp and how can I abuse it?
