All these people putting posts up saying they got caught by their mom smoking make me envious. I got caught by the police just the other night and frankly im scared fucking shitless. I dont know how badly this is gonna affect my record or my ability to land a job when i get outta college (im 18 and live in CA). I guess im just looking for whats gonna go down. I had less than a gram cause me n my buddy smoked half of it before we got busted, but we still had another joint in his container and couldnt get it out fast enough or else i woulda ate that shit. It took all the strength in me not to run the fuck away at flatout speed. So yeah my question is whats gonna happen now since i only got a court date, i dont see anywhere specifying how much $$ i owe but i presume thats gonna be settled on my court day.
sorry if im being a dick here but...earlier today, somebody gets banned for asking the same question but stating theyre a minor. thread deleted, person banned...same day somebody comes up with the same story on their first post. just wondering.

If you got caught in cali with only a few Gs, its nothing, I believe it is a $100 fine and not even a misdemeanor.
wow the cop must have been a dick to bust you on less then a gram.. I'm currently in MA where the cops, if they bust you with less then an ounce, will most likely not even give you the 100 dollar fine because there is no record of you ever getting the ticket//no penalty for not paying the ticket... So its a waste of time for them to even write it up...so they dump it and let you go...

well this has been my first encounter with the police. the last time i talked to a cop it was a fat jolly black man in dare telling me NOT to smoke weed. and sure as of now if i go to court and gotta pay $100 no big deal, but i wanna know that im able to wipe this shit off my record without paying an ass ton of money. i know i can pay if its 1-2k but its gonna be a problem telling my mom what happened to all that money cause she checks my bank movements. although, i know that if someone does a thorough background check on you theyre always gonna find it whether its cleared or not.
If this happened in the piece of shit town I live in they probably would've arrested you, tried to give you a piss test and eventually charge you with D.U.I. whether you were high or not then make you attend outpatient treatment along with 6 months of probation. That's what happened to me when I was busted as a minor. I was pulled over because the douche bag supposedly recognized me from where I used to work (Burger King) and assumed I was a minor at 4 am. He still harasses my mom and I out of boredom 2 years after the fact. I got a DUI a couple weeks after I turned 18. Didn't have court until 6 months later. $1,870 in fines, $300 to be on probation and $400 to take a drunk driving class although I wasn't drinking but whatever. Now I'm just rambling. Good luck.

ok so i've been diggin around online and such. so it seems having less than an oz is about a 100 dollar fine. anthying more than that is like 500? and possibly an arrest. in CA they destroy the record so i assume your slate is wiped clean. but theres been some confusion and some people say the slate is wiped and other people say that its still good to have it expunged from your record. so i dunno if i should let the 2 yrs pass or expunge. what do you guys think? and nag dude that sucks, hope shit goes better for you in the future.

wait i'm confused. Did you get arrested as in put in handcuffs and given a court date, ect, or given a ticket or none of these options??
