  1. I think, with the direction that television and home video in general is moving, that someday the "norm" for television will be very similar to Youtube's current format.
We'll see channels begin to disappear, and in their place will emerge a vastly-connected media library containing all of these old shows which we grew up watching, all available at the command of our voice or gesture.

While it's probably true that the majority of profit to be made occurs in new content (advertising demands will only strengthen this reality), it is also an indubitable fact that with enough demand for old shows, the access will eventually come.

Look at what happened with CN and Boomerang over a decade ago. With humble beginnings as a 4-hour weekend programming block it eventually grew into it's own channel and continues to survive to this day.
One would think that the same will happen with 90's cartoons and shows.
Hell one might even dream that these shows won't even be divided by network but will be sorted into channels (playlists more likely) based on their original air dates.
We'll be watching Even Stevens and Batman: The Animated Series alongside Rocko's Modern Life and classic Spongebob.
The future can only exist with input from the past.

  2. Bump son! It just came on.

  3. Adventure time and regular show should be on prime time television!
