so i made a activated carbon sploof using a cup, straw to bottom, filled with carbon/carbon filter/cotton balls, and coffee filters on top. I figure the smoke will naturally rise through the carbon once blown into straw. My question is whether or not i should still see smoke escaping from this sploof?? and whether or not the excess smoke will still produce smell??
You likely will see smoke come out still. The only time I've never seen smoke come out is if using a commercial Smoke Buddy or a NATO gas mask filter. FWIW, I now prefer the NATO gas mask filter. $5 for training ones and they work about 10x longer than a Smoke Buddy.
