I was born in the presidential hospital Then someone cut my neck but they missed my jugular Each and every try they saw that I just wouldn't die Even when it went up my spine and tried to blow my mind And every thing I did burned deep into my soul And every light brought me to my knees and forced me to let go See we're born with three eyes with the third sown shut By being fed with only lies and timed only to be stuck But every once in a while a person wakes up And dies a little bit but only the bit that corrupts The threads come loose and you open your eye You learn how to read and then you start to cry See the truth is everywhere, it's in between the lines You can't see it anywhere but it doesn't hide You were born a slave and there's no way out So high and so wise, so you know by now You can go back to your so called life Or you can live and never die Life is their disease and you see it in your breath Don't take this literally, the only cure is death For the first time in your life, you feel something real. Something outside the limits of what you're allowed to feel. You see how much trouble they've gone through to keep you asleep. And the more of their chains and spells break off of you, The more you realize how nothing they've done has ever had any real effect on you. When you die, you become a part of something higher, And all the anger and sorrow you've built up will be moot. And them? Fuck them and their world. Life is a dream, And all I know is I'm awake And that everyone around me is asleep And the world is so lonely And as nice as it is to be with you It's so much easier to breathe when you're awake *I didn't spell check any of this.
+ rep my friend. That was fucking solid. 2nd stanza is an epic win. I had it flowin' in my head the entire time... reminded me of this rapper named Shad who lives in the city I go to school in. Nice work. You should think about recordin' that into a song or something.
