Cannabis and your immune system

    [SIZE=+2]Recently I've been having a bad cold, and I was a little concerned about the possible effects of cannabis on my immune system. I guess this concern stems from an article I read many a months ago that explain how [/SIZE]cannabinoids antagonized certain receptors responsible for your immunological responses. Anyways, after a little research I found this article on Ewroid that helped calm those concerns. Thought I'd post it here in case anyone else finds it interesting.

    Come to think of it, that name sounds familiar.... Wasn't it nominated for a Oscar or something?

    Off and on for 3 years now. When I'm on, it's almost everyday for a month and when I'm off it's nothing except maybe 2 joints a month.

    I was watching a forum done by the Independent Institute. One of the doctors there was an AIDS specialist who did government funded research do determine marijuana's affect on the immune system. He found that white blood cells count actually rose, and it did nothing to depress it. Unfortunately, I can't find the actual study.

    I still can't find the study, but his name is Dr. Donald Abrams. Here is a link to the video in which I first heard about it, it's also a really good video about medicinal marijuana.
