Can It Help With Constant Pain?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by toffeecat, May 27, 2013.

  1. If so, where do I start?

  2. start by smoking

  3. Yes, it helps! Indicas are usually the best for pain (hard dense buds, short, fat leaves and a compact plant) My hubby has neuropathic pain and cannabis helps him more than most pain-killers. He gets the biggest relief from using edibles. However edibles are "tricky" when it comes to dosing. It is all too easy to take "one bite too many"! If you do wish to try edibles, BadKittySmiles is your "go to" gal! Go slow about eating a second one, edibles sometimes take a couple hours to cut in.

Then there are little machines called "vaporizers" that gently heat, but do not burn the cannabis. No smoke or combustion products to harm your lungs! And the "left-overs" from vaping have enough left in them to make nice "day use" brownies!  Some good brands (do NOT get a cheap knock off) are Silver Surfer, Vapor Brothers, Da Buddha, and the top of the line, the Volcano.

If the idea of being high bothers you (yes, kids, not everyone wants to be stoned 24/7!), there are new strains of "High CBD" cannabis available that kill pain, yet have almost no high!  CBD (cannabidiol) kills pain by a different method than THC, but is still quite effective!
These folks are the experts when it comes to CBD and have a list of "High CBD" strains!

Since you are new to cannabis, I would like to educate you further. Please check out the bottom of my sig and send me an email!  I will send you back a PDF with over 1000 pages of links like those above, all nicely sorted! There is SO MUCH MORE to cannabis than "just" getting high!

    Hope that helps!
