Can I still do LST during flower??

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Maddyxgreen, Jan 5, 2021.

  1. My plant is about 2 weeks into flower. This is my first grow. Couple of the tops are taller than the rest and I want the others to reach the same height. Would it be okay to do some LST on the taller branches right now to try an even the canopy??

  2. Yes.
For a to stiff stem take pliers and crush a relief zone 6 inches long or more. Bend top over and keep crushing.
Do NOT snap the stem as that will kill the top.
Fluids will flow past the crush and the top will finish on the horizontal. Tie it down as it'll keep trying to stand back up.
I routinely do this to keep big sativa plants below wall height.

  3. I actually like doing this to the couple ones that got taller than rest. They all turn into little christmas trees due to all the light exposure.

  4. Exactly. I had a pair of 15 week White Widows that I crushed and tied down early in the season and the main colas finished as a row of little cone shaped Xmas trees. Was cool as hell.
