I found it growing in my backyard and it looked like cannabis so I picked it. I have some ground up but I'm a little reluctant to smoke it. Please identify what plant this is and if its dangerous to smoke for me, thanks. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!

its not a very good pic to be figuring out what it is, but usually when people find somthing in there yard they think is weed its some type of Hibiscus, what state are you in, might be some ditch weed

Of the whole plant, please. Might be Kenaf, or even one of many potentilla/ cinquefoils! Neither is pleasant to smoke. At least you are doing better than the kid who found castor beans growing and thought they were "giant pot" plants! Thank goodness I was able to tell him what they were- before he tried them! Smoking "questionable" plants can be very dangerous! Granny

I dunno, but its NOT cannabis. Go into the grow section and look at plants... it doesn't grow from the ground with a single leaf on a single stem... plus you would smoke the bud not the leaf...
