CA Med Marijuana Employment Rights Approved By Committee - Toke of the Town "The State Senate Judiciary Committee voted 3-2 on Tuesday, approving a bill that would protect California's medical marijuana patients from discrimination at the workplace." AWESOME!
While this is good news I would have to point out that this happened over a month ago, and it is very early in the legislative process for this bill. It will have to go through a lot more voting, not to mention signing by the governor, before it becomes law. The outcome of this proposed legislation will probably not be known until August (or later) of this year.
SB 129 was not acted upon during the current legislative session. It will be reintroduced in the senate in January 2012.
