Burned Leaves (With Pictures)

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by kay_89, Nov 3, 2008.

  1. Me and my roommate are growing a single plant for ourselves just for kicks and giggles, and we're completely new at this whole thing. So far everything's been going smoothly until a couple of days ago when we noticed that the light (CFL) fell a few inches and started touching the leaves to the plant and caused minor burns to a couple of leaves (pictured below). The light is moved back to the original spot, but does the burnt part of the leaf have to be cut off or anything? Also are there any suggestions to prevent this burn from happening again?

  2. the leaf is not going to regenerate or anything, but DO NOT CUT IT OFF or do anything other than raise the light to about 2-3 inches above the plant if you are using cfls. Its fine and looks to otherwise be pretty healthy, just leave it.
