    My guess is heat, lumens, and spectrum. Not to mention a 100w cfl equivelant puts out more lumens, and only uses 23 actual watts.

  3. Accidental double post

  4. heat yes.. i havent saw 26 eq to 100..

    Yep, they can be found at your local walmart or home store most of the time. This one puts out 1650 lumens roughly, and uses 1/4 the power while making less heat. To boot, it has the correct spectrum for vegging.

    [ame=http://www.amazon.com/23-Watt-Spectrum-Daylight-Warranty/dp/B003YO2BLK]Amazon.com: 23 Watt - CFL - 100 W Equal - 6500K Full Spectrum Daylight - Min. Start Temp. -20 Deg. F - CRI 82 - 72 Lumens per Watt - 24 Month Warranty - TCP 48923-65: Home Improvement[/ame]

  6. oh! i got the 1750 lumen ones then!

  7. but their 2700k and i have a 26wtt =75wtt 6500k and 5000k 50wwt 1000 lumens

  8. Too much heat, too inefficient, wrong spectrum.
