Looks like scale I'll get the hard black version on my stems occasionally. Since I grow organically I don't worry about them as they don't really affect the plant as near as I can tell. They never get to high numbers here in So CAL. BNW

yeah looks like carpet beetle to me aswell mate. not 100% as a bit out of practice but cant think of anything else it could be. if your worried about bugs get some of these. i used to be a pest tech and can garuntee you theyll catch a sample of just about anything that starts breeding in your tent. its not a treatment method but will get you a sample to see what your dealing with. They do indeed fly, another clue it wasn't scale. Scale are wingless. I spend a lot of time on bugid.
When I get them it's about like this and they never seem to progress any further then a couple of feet up from the ground. I flower outside so a few crawlies are expected but overall nature keeps things in good check for me with just Caterpillars and Powdery Mildew to treat for. BNW
