just wondering if you guys think these shiny looking beetle things are causing this damage. Haven’t caught them in the act but I’ve flicked quite a few of these ugly looking things off my plants and I’ve got all this damage. I’ve also picked off a few different sized inch worms. And have also gotten rid of a few snails
Those are japanese beetles, they have very few natural predators outside of Japan so if you don't get them under control they can destroy an entire crop easily. Whenever they're eating they release a pheromone that attracts more of them. The best solution in my opnion is to pick them off one by one and kill them so they don't attract more. Flick them into soapy water and they will drown. Do as much as you can. Dont get the traps they attract more. BL
