ugh. ive never broken a high end piece before, until last night. i broke my Diggy inline ashcatcher. it could have been alot worse. i had the ashcatcher in my Darby/Wilson mini 10 tree stemless with a el hefe slide. the tube and slide made it out unscathed. the ashcatcher broke almost flush with the top of the ground joint. i have the joint and it is almost intact. the break on the ashcatcher itself is pretty clean. there were 4 small chips that came off, but i have them and like i said, the break is luckily, as clean as i can imagine. ive contacted the guy i buy my glass from, he knows everybody so im hoping getting it fixed will be possible and relatively painless. i consider my ashcatcher to be an intergral part of the piece and im saaaad. heres the break:
