so ive got some feminized white rhino seeds. i wanna grow asap. how many 200 watt hps bulbs will i need to grow 2 lants. and can they plug straight into sockets like cfls??
I dont think they make 200's, and they will be plugged into a socket, but then the socket will need to be plugged into a ballast unlike CFL's.
If your getting a grow light system, then yes it will be wired to plug into a wall outlet. If your just getting a hps ballast, you may have to wire it up yourself which is pretty easy, & much cheaper, at which point you will also need some sort of sheetmetal material for the bulb refector. Not sure how many plants you can put under a 200 watt bulb though, there is a guide around here somewhere that will show you what a 400 watt / 600 watt & 1000 watt hps can do.
