Any other fans out there? I don't like hard music or anything with any amount of screaming in it what so ever, but there is just something about this band that is so absolutely amazing that I just can't describe it. Yeah Brand New is dope. I have Deja Entendu and Your Favorite Weapon, both of which are tight. I haven't heards that record yet though.
Brand New is in the top 5 for sure! Deja entendu is the best by far. but the devil and god is a great album also.. good post.
wow, i'm actually surprised to see Brand New here They used to be my absolute favorite band when I was like 14. I still like them a lot, just don't listen to them as much. The story behind the song Limousine is so depressing.

Yeah, I don't really ever listen to Your Favorite Weapon, it's good, but too amateurish for me. The other day I was driving up to Laconia with a friend and we had Brand New blasting, which is why I remembered to make this thread. if their next album came out with more experimental stuff I would be so stoked about it. They've already become more progressive (the songs starting slow and getting heavy) but I would like to see even more progressiveness. they need to throw in some funk into their music. haha that would be fat. and have parts where they just jam. MMMMMM I'm day dreaming about brand new's new album that hasn't even been talked about by them yet.
Last time I heard, Brand New went into the studio in the Fall to start recording new stuff... but no, they haven't announced a new album yet. I just hope we don't have to wait as long in between albums like we did last time... what was it, like 4 years?
I used to listen to Brand New all the time but I got a bit tired of the whole whiney emo scene. They have regained my favor with "The Devil and God." When I first heard "Sowing Season" I immediately recognized that they took an entire stanza from Rudyard Kipling's poem "If," for their second verse. I always enjoy hearing lyrics from well read song writers.

im only a fan of their Deja Entendu CD. i dont really like their recent CD. this is my favorite song by them. the lyrics and the bass line in this song are fucking epic. he's telling a story in this song.
