I took a long distance bus once and they just put the luggage in a bottom compartment without checking or anything. And you just pick it up when you get out.
You should be ok most people opt for greyhound instead of airlines for this reason ---------------------------------- there's certain accidents where you may be drunk and on drugs. but it's going to happen weather you are or your not -Ricky
