Excellent a Journal: Alright then heres what happen my 2nd grow This will be my 3rd session and i have a new system for you guys. The plan as of now will be to have around 4 small lst plants in flowering at all times. Im going to stager when i put them in (Plant A flowers 15 days later pant B flowers etc) so i can harvest some twice a month (hopefully). Grow box: Vegging: Is in a larger computer case Two 13w CFLs One 15w Cfl Total=41w Flowering: large plywood box 20"x15"x5' (i think) Two 26w cfl 52 Two 18w cfl 36 One 20w cfl Total=126w Plants Well I have two strains going right now both just bag seed. One is the female strain iv been growing which we'll call G1, has nothing to do with G13 I just call the strain Gingerbeard. The second strain came from some crazy stuff that looked like shit but got you high as fuck no idea what it really is but im going to call it BB for now. All i have is one plant, the seed it came from i saved from over a year ago lol and i dont know if its male or female yet. i'll be cloning it and flowering soon to see whats what. Some friends have run into a norther lights seed and a bunch of Durban poison seeds so i'll end up with either of those or maybe crossed with BB or something. Visual Aids 1st - is BB (dont know male/female yet) 2nd- is G1 (clone of G-0 next pic) 3rd - G-0 (clone of the next pic) 4-5 are a few nugs still growing on my last plant 6 - Same stuff cured
Hey man I checked out your other grow thread and I'm amazed at those buds. I hope my buds get that big lol. I'll have some more pics of my grow up tonight along with pics of a couple seedlings i just planted.
Update: Well my computer i use to clone/veg in, had foil in it. a while back we got a few tons of wood stove pellets. The cool part was each ton of pellets was wrapped in this 1/2 black half white plastic. I never thought of using it in a grow room till now and thought id swap things out. I have set up a grow room with the real stuff and this is all most identical, maybe just a little thinner. The two plants in there are doing well, the first day of the swap a light fell and knocked over the clone but it was fine and still is. The other unknown strain plant (BB) is doing very well too, should be taking clones soon. Flowering: Well G-0 has been flowering for 20 days and is showing some white hairs so i'l get some pictures soon. The old plant is on day 96.....(just flowering) lol but I found some new white hairs on some lower nugs so i think im going to let her live a while longer or until i need the space.
Well i took some pictures of some of my cured bud. i tried to get it up here earlier but GC ass raped google chrome lol but heres some more nug shots and if you use your zoom capability's you can see some awesome amber and foggy trichomes! uh oh yeah if you didnt see on the other thread my old flowering plant has been flowering for 99 DAYS and it has a many white hairs popping out of premature nugs and out of old nugs its awesome the buds are still growing so well! I'l get some pictures soon. I think thats it for now lol subscribe if you like this shit!
Well took some pictures found some awesome purple all over the place. The plant in the last pic i think has nute burn but not 100% sure if any one knows feel free, its been flowering for 26 days. The flowering plant in the first 3 pictures is on day 102 of flowering and you can see that full stem with white hairs. all those nugs grew from almost nothing a week or two ago to that lol and the plants like 150 days old
Well the last plant looks like it has a magnesium deficiency, but I could be wrong. Any easy way to find out is to give it a little bit of epsom salt. I don't think the discolored leaves will ever be green again, but I seem to remember being able to see the improvement in the new growth. I dealt with this a few months ago, I wish now that I had written these things down.
Thanks man thats the same thing a friend of mine said when he saw it. That was a while ago tho and at the time i put some epsom salts in and i think it helped but i guess it still needs some more so tonight hopefully i'll throw some in and give it some more water.
Well, don't do too much now, but if your new growth is still yellowing, then by all means go for it. Just remember that it could be something else entirely. I find that for me just a little pinch in a gallon about three times in two months works just fine, but your situation probably isn't the same as mine, I just have really hard tap water, and it rears its ugly head first with a magnesium deficiency, and later with an iron deficiency, but next year, I think I should be pretty close to dialed in.
well its kinda hard to say cause this last time I had 2 plants I harvested tops then worked my way down, then harvested one whole plant and the other is still growing with probably over an 1/8 + on it. To make it even worse I dont have a scale. but my eye ball and I, would have to say 1.5-2Oz total Iv also been smoking quite a LOT since harvest so I dont really know lol could be more then 2
Indeed sir i will keep in mind it could be something else. I always wondered about my water cause I have a well. I know its full of stuff cause you can taste the difference and i think my plants have been liking it but not sure. oh and would a water softener do much? cause we are having one installed some time in the not to distant future. I need to invest in a ph meter soon lol
I'm afraid I don't know much about water softeners, how they function, what they do, but if it removes calcium, it would probably help a little. I think a pH meter and some pH down would be a good investment. I should probably follow suit.
pH Up as well. I use it for my flowering plants every feeding, and my tap water starts out at about 7.4 to 7.5. But that Tiger Bloom really pulls down the pH, and I usually want my solution around 7.0 because I'm usually trying to pull up the soil pH. I use a lot of pH Up.
Perhaps, I wouldn't know, I don't have a pH meter, and I've only had pH lockouts of the basic variety, so pH up would not help in that situation. However, I'm not using much in the way of ferts, and I'm sticking with organics now that I have finally picked up some fertilizer, so we'll see how things work out.
Thanks for all the info handaman and Alatar I'll try n get my hands on some ph ups and downs and GOOD news Handaman was right about the magnesium deficiency in that plant. I added some epsom salts a while ago and last night i started to really see some new growth and its all a nice dark green! It really started to put out some hairs and the trichomes are really starting to show up as well. This plant should be pretty DANK in the end (hopefully) cant wait to watch how the nugs grow when the stems are so close together. Thanks for excellent info guys i will try n get some updated pictures tomorrow or something.
