I don't know about you guys but i've been going through an extremely rough time lately, which unfortunately has led to depression. Black metal has been one of the few things that has kept me going, when I listen to DSBM it empowers me, and changes the sorrow into something else.... Never came across this band before! Will definitely look into them, this is what I was hoping from this thread, a broadening of my blackened horizons. I never cared much for Mayhem but I have to say De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas gave me fucking goosebumps when I first heard it, one of my favourite black metal albums alongside The Nightside Eclipse, 10th Sub Level Of Suicide, Det Som Engang Var and Melancholie.

So anyways: Alda, Forest of Grey, Echtra, Fauna, Threnos, Addaura, L'Acephale, and Skagos are all some amazing bands from around the area. Wolves in the Throne Room can suck a fat one. Alda's newest album Tahoma is real great and a must for anyone who claims to be a Black Metal fan.
