Better ask now

  1. What's worst than being a newb? Low yields! So lemme get your help here.

    So on my 4th run, week 6 from seed. 2x2 with 120 qb and vipar 300 at like 1/2 power (lights about 30 inch away now so I could cancel out light burn). Got three 3 gals and one 2 gal (I'd planned a 30 day SOG until issues now I'm waiting it out)

    First time running nonamended coco with gh 3 part. 77-79 day time temp. 70 at night. I ran into what I thought was nute burn despite feeding between 250-300 ppm that then began looking like K deficiency. The yellow striping now has me wondering if this is a cal mg issue or potassium? Thinking to bump nutes up to 500 ppm. Heres the wild part. I dont mean to cause a rift here either: runoff has been moving around 6.0 @330ppm ish...but slurry was ready same pH at 51 ppm. So I'm lost. I think what got me was first time using qb so not accustomed to diagnosing under 3000k. Also...any idea why this one lady growing so ugly in the leaves? Sorry the pics were done on the fly

  2. At that size, unless watering 2x daily, I'd have higher ppm solution. But @Soil2Coco or @trojangrower would know more on that subject.

  3. They could use a 2nd feed or higher ppm

  4. 500ppm
    Ph5.7 going in.
    Feed every day to run off at least once.
    All will be well.
    Also the reason your slurry test said low ppm is because you put water in it.
    Do as stated though and you can just ignore the run off :)

    <-not a soil grower ;)
    but I'd follow S2C like a sailor follows the North star !!!
    oh... I actually do follow S2C :D

  6. sorry here,

    EL:

    I think EL is starving; although it looks like Mg def, its probably not. Maybe its a weird burn (tap?). Nevertheless:

    where 1 gal RO = reverse osmosis water
    but RO pH/EC is runoff.
    MB = maxibloom
    pH adjusted up with potassium silicate.
    plants are fed 1L each, runoff ~300mL or so.
    1500EC
    @0.5 conversion is 750ppm.
    @0.7 conversion is 1050ppm.

    I would judge by what ML looks like; don't use EL. That EL CBD/auto/fem'd (which happened to sprout a male counterpart!) is a bit weird...

  7. Thanks for the insight. Any idea why this one is growing with such ugly leaves? I damn near couldn't even train it it is so resistant, so opted to mainline. But leaves just two leaves that are monsters. First time doing sativa dominant so idk if its genetics or what.

  8. I don’t see any weird leaves. They look like hybrids to me, maybe even indica leaning

  9. Some just look young/still developing. My snow white did same early on. Super tight noding.

    (I'll find pic)
