Best way to give nutes to dwc???

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Dsourman, Aug 18, 2011.

  1. If I have 6 gallons of water in my DWC bucket and the directions for nutes are for 1 gallon.
    Should I make enough nutes for 6 gallons?
    Also, if the directions say feed 2 times a week should I be making up 6 gallons worth of nutes each week??

    I am using some fox farm stuff.

    Please help. :confused::D:wave::cool:

  2. The nutrient feeding schedule is a 1-1-1 ratio for flower and bloom, as opposed to the old school 3-2-1 for veg, and 1-2-3 for flower.

    You want to use 1/3 the nutrients that the bottle says, according to most growers I've talked to....but some folks say 1/2, others say theh full strength, etc.

    Try out what makes the most sense to you and what works for what you can do in teh grow room time you have. And if it doesn't work, you'll try somethign else the next time.

  3. so what i do is measure out the recommended amounts in a single gallon jug, and measure each level with a PPM meter. everytime you add a different nute, measure it. rough estimate the amt your gonna use for 6 gallons (multiply by 6) and then bring nute levels up to the ppm level.
    so heres how i do it.
    5ml/gal of cAL mag= 350 ppm
    5ml/gal PBPG= 500 ppm
    5ml/gal liquid karma= 600 ppm
    those are estimates of course, all nutes are different.
    i bring each individual DWC bucket to these levels. too easy.
    works for me anyway.
    thats about 1/2 strength for my nutes.
