Being high is normal.

  1. What if being high is just what animals feel normally? Like they have enhanced senses. What if that's just our instincts kicking in and we are trying to survive. We are animals after all, it's just how animals feel. Being happy and hungry until danger comes. We get caught easier because animals are clumsy. It's similar to being high. High is just us trying to survive and tapping into our animal instincts.

  2. If being high is instinct, then why do we get the high from another source? Getting high contributed to the development and evolution of mankind and society. It is believed that ancient humans ate mushrooms and somehow that influenced human evolution.

  3. The years and years of using technology and everything have made our animal instincts weak. We depend too much on technology.

  4. animals aren't clumsy.

  5. Technology is just a branch of humanity. It has been refined to ease human life. We don't need animal instincts.

  6. Terence McKenna's my boy.

  7. If you are talking about consciousness, than yea we are always high, and our instincts lie in our subconscious until it kicks in and comes forth through our consciousness. So you can say bud raises your consciousness.

  8. You mean most of us no longer want to use our animal instincts, me however, I love my instincts, it makes me proud how well they are built, I use them in soccer, video games, and about everything I do. But I am also more beastly in a sense, because I dislike all modern fabrications of society. I abhor it, yet I still live in it, hopefully that will change soon, when I finally go solo. I'm still working out my plans. Hopefully nothing big interferes. Or hopefully something good interferes. Whatever the case may be.

  9. We don't have to trade animal instict with technology, we can have both.

  10. Facepalmed so hard just now.

  11. I've read some shit kind of disproving lots of his shit.. Forgot where. Personally when I read his book about shrooms influencing evolution, I saw flaws in a lot of what he was saying. Was like two years ago, don't remember what, etc.
Most definitely played a role, they broadened our perception, shown us another reality, inclination of spirituality etc, lets us know that shit is more that what your eyes can see..

Just not as much as he is stating they are.
    Just my 2 cents.

  12. Yeah, You know the feeling when you feel like something is chasing you? That is your animal instinct to be aware of your surroundings that predators can attack at any moment. All this can happen while listening to you iPod on a walk in the woods at night to get to Best Buy. lol

Though I do feel like technology de-humanizes us. Especially with the media... and TV, and Hollywood, Horrendous Music on the Radio that isn't Music, there's no soul or passion in any of that garbage... It doesn't move you. Porn/Violent video games/moves desensitizing us.
