I just purchased a 1000w HPS/MH ballast. Craigslist lol. But now what i need to know is what else do i need to buy? Maybe a hood or cool tube? Where do i screw my bulb into? Thank you
Yes but it needs 12/2 wire and has to be a dedicated line as no neutral will be used. You will use less amps but same amount of kilowatts so it runs the unit more efficient but same electric cost. Not worth the trouble unless your doing a new construction style setup. You need aa cordset, hood and socket now. Hope you gotta good deal on the ballast cause u need parts now lol
