cool idea, but dunno if it would work too well... when you crack a glowstick it breaks a little inner tube to activate the glowing shit, when you open them up you get all these sharp tiny shards of crap everywhere, which would pop the bubbles. Just a theory though. actual pretty keen to see how it'd turn out...
The glass should sink to the bottom, so long as I skimmde the top for bubbles I think I should be fine. Will try.
