I'm in process of rescuing some very old (15yr) seed of this cross, both of which are Nirvana varieties. The question is: There are 6 seedlings and from the internode spacing and general look, I'd say 3 M and 3F probable. When it is pollination time, is it better to pollinate all 3F with all 3M to get a good mixture of F2s? I'm thinking of separating them (I have lots of room) and then, say, putting a bag over half of one plant, taking it over and shaking pollen off all three M, repeat with each F. Or am I falling into some kind of mistake?
