is it an ok idea to be growing in the attic? i dont know if the heat will be noticeable by helicopters.
If you have over a 1000w HPS and your area is a hotspot for growers (getting caught), then i'd give it a miss. If it isn't, grow away. Heat problems for the plant could be an issue in the summer, and cold problems in the winter.
