  1. ok i am thinking about joing the army one of my bros friends enlisted a while ago and he loves it. i was wondering if there are any army guys on here. if so how do like it. do they randomly drug test, how do u pass the drug tests and what was your exp like. i am really thinking about joining

  2. I'm pretty sure they do drug test. I got a buddy in the marines and he's on his second tour in a Iraq. They sent him 2 FUCKING weeks after his baby was born. Fucking marine corps. He does have alot of incentives though. His rent and most insurances are paid. All he has to pay for is his utilities and he making round 40,000 a year. Thats the marine corps though and you definently gonna kill someone and go to Iraq if ya join them. If you join as a GI then you going to Iraq man. No matter wtf they tell u, u going there. Navy or Air Force if you wanna stay out of combat zones. I wouldn't personally join the army because of the current war and if you get caught breaking laws the penalties are literally doubled. Also Iraq shit man. Its a fucking hell hole and you will most likely kill a civilian for whatever reason and thats one thing fucking with alot of the soldiers heads. Also once you over there the WHOLE goal is to make it back alive.

Here are 2 links about it and shit. I mean its your choice.

  3. I wouldn't try to tell anyone what to do. But please think about your reasons for joining and what the consequences might be. Are you ready to go to Iraq or Iran? Will you kill a woman or a child if you "have" to? The way the world is, you should really consider your decision carefully; the US' time as a superpower is coming to an end, in our lifetimes, and I predict we're going to be challenged militarily more and more. If you're about defending the US -- on US soil -- I'm for it too; if you're going to be a Wall Street hitman, just think about if that's what you want out of life. And that's nothing to say about being crippled of killed. You should go to a local VA hospital before you decide and talk to some guys your age who are back from Iraq. Be smart, make the right decision. Good luck brother.

  4. Only if you wanna go to Iraq. And kill a bunch of people. My buddy went in on his first tour called me up 3 months later and claimed he already killed 4 people. Incentives are good and all but shit. Be absolutely prepared for an experience that may lead to injury or death.

  5. I'd say join the air force... That's what I plan on doing eventually...

This chick I know is joining the army and she told me they have to check your whole body because your body is legally the property of the U.S. and all... Well, they check for STD's n everything but if you have a STD are you not allowed to join the armed forces??

  6. as much as i hate bush and dont agree with the war i see how the army has bettered my friend and hope it could better me. i would be the first person in my fam that has done some thing other then my grandpa and my uncle but my uncle is the biggest mootch ever.

  7. fuck the army. It's peace corps for me.

  8. even worse if you ask me. OP get ready to defend your freedom. youll see a revolution within the next 5 years and a big war probably by next year...sooo....id say no.

  9. I wouldn't recommend enlisting. I was in the army for five months training as an intel analyst before receiving an uncharacterized discharge. The army does give random drug tests (took 3 alltogether) and I passed my first drug test to enlist using a cleansing product called strip. If you don't mind getting treated like shit or waiting in line a lot then I say go for it. Expect power tirpping/ sadistic NCO's and keep in mind the army is typically comprised of homophobic, sexist, jesus loving rednecks. Also, if you join the army in all likelihood you would eventually be sent to iraq with 135 degree temperature bearing 80 lbs + worth of equipment.

I wasn't in the army long, but for the time I was in I've often heard people voice sincere regret they ever joined.

If your need to join the armed forces is so dire then I would recommend the air force or joining as an officer.

  10. haha i like how no one really answered his questions..just told him the reasons for not going.
it's fucked up but my friends got colin drunk and fed him a shitload of weed brownies. well three days later his recruiting officer told him not to worry about it and copied old documents.
    ARMY FTW

  11. In case you didn't know:

Army: "Hey look at me I'm serving in the Military and give back to my country!"

Navy: "Hey look we're in Thailand now!"

Air Force: "No that was a weather balloon."

Marines: "I'm glad I became a Marine and not some punk Army bitch, or some Navy dude who joined to see the world, or even one of those damned Air Force kids who is just lookin for an education. I'm here to fuck shit up."

  12. my army buddy is a weapons specialist in special forces. he's learning arabic now.

  13. When you get in, they don't care about the drugs, as long as you 'promise' to quit. May differ at different recruiting offices. They test for cancer, std's and other illnesses and will reject you if they think you cost too much to maintain, even if you have flat feet. I remember doing a stupid duck walk to see if you had flat feet.

I wanted to join the air force, but didn't because my eye vision was slightly better than average, but they need 20/15 vision to fly a fighter jet, and that was my only reason to join. So I stuck with the army for college funds, I'm not a killing machine so I opted for better pay and skills training.

  14. Ok.... I have a cousin that is an Army Ranger, my second cousin was an Army Ranger, two of my other uncles were Navy Seals, not to mention all the other relatives I have in the Marines, Navy, and Army. I got a little under 80 cousins and about 35 of them are in the military.

I've talked to them all because I was about to enlist maybe 6 months ago and after getting their advice and experiences I decided not to. Navy was willing to start me at an E-5 because of different awards I have and after talking to family that were career soldiers that isn't even good enough to be in any position to do shit.

Remember my words: "Shit rolls downhill." If you don't know what it means, go ahead and enlist experience it first hand.

Unless you get into the Army Rangers or Navy Seals your basically a bitch in either of those two branches.
