Are salt shaker tops ok?

    To use as a bowl? Sockets are easier IMO.

    Dude.. no.. most of them are plastic even if it looks or feels like metal.

    If it's steel, you're probably good. Just make sure that's what it is and not silver or aluminum.

    Even if it was metal you wouldn't want to smoke metal fumes, and the shiny lining on the metal, unless you're that stupid. That shit wasn't designed for high temperatures so it breaks down with even little bit of heat. Enjoy your metal fumes bro.

    I agree completely, the tops were not designed for high temperatures, usually on the metal tops manufacturers coat it with something to give it that shine.
