I think your confusion stems from the fact that you're looking at 'pre-flower' as a stage of development when it's actually a physical structure on the plant (it looks like one single calyx hanging out by itself, with a pair of pistils on the sides.) They absolutely do show up before the flip to 12/12
Yes i see the 2 hairs and they're orange already so absolutely 100 percent yes on this one. They are.
Let's not turn a simple question into an argument. just give him or her the answer you most think is right. That person could consider all answers .and see for themselves what really works for their plants.
Like I've researched from every possible archive of weed growing info and its like the Bible, you can't follow every scripture or reading to a T. Just go by your brain and heart in a balanced reasonable manner and your life should be good. Same idea for anything.
