Are Gravity Bongs Safe?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by BlazedPlatypus, May 13, 2014.

  1. I've only used a gravity bong a few times. And honestly, they're awesome. I usually stick to my glass bowl, but sometimes I like to change it up.

I'm not using tinfoil for the "bowl" part of the gravity bong so I won't be getting Alzheimer's, rather I'm using a metal ratchet. But I've always wondered...could hot smoke inside of a plastic cup potentially vaporize bits of the plastic, so that you inhale it? I feel like it can't be as healthy as a pipe (if you could consider a pipe healthy).

What do you guys think? Hopefully this makes sense. I'm not concerned because this isn't a common practice of mine. I'm just curious.

  4. Good to know. They definitely conserve bud. When I use a G bong I only need a tiny little nug and it does the trick as well as a bowl. I have noticed, though, that it's more intense for a short span. Past that short span, the high doesn't stay strong for as long as a bowl does (obviously).
