any experienced growers using multiple 1000w with HEAT SHIELD?

    I'm new to this forum. I've been growing for many many years. I've always used about 5 600w HPS's. I am thinking of switching to 3 1000 watters with the MAGNUM XXL 6" air cooled reflector with the safety glass.
    So my question is...Is anyone using atleast one 1000W HPS with the HEAT SHIELD (insulating blanket)?? Is there really much of a difference with or without the thermal blanket/heat shield?
