hey i was wondering if i could use one of these light bulbs along with my 2 13w cfls my plants not getting enough light
i don't think you want to use those since they produce more heat than cfls and less lighting but i could very well be wrong
No one answered you because the answer to this question is all over this site. No that bulb will not work, incandescent lights make TERRIBLE grow lights, despite what packaging might tell you. They put out a lot of heat, and very little usable light/lumens. You'll want to stick with cfl's because they produce less heat, and they have the spectrum you need (6500k). If all you have is 2 13w cfl's, you're gonna need to step that up quite a bit, you're gonna need at least 75-100 watts per plant for good results. Personally i'd recommend getting the higher wattage cfl's, even wal-mart sells the 26 watt cfls, get 4 of those, and you'll have your 100 watts.
