if they should...it should be at their own risk because if the criminal shots the cop...whos fault was it? i mean the criminal is minding his own business and the cop decides to fuck with him the cop coulda just minded his own busness and let the criminal be but nooooooo...he has to poke at the criminal and then he chases him, going 100 mphs risking normal people who want to live their own lives and the cop finaly catches the criminal and the criminal shots the cop the cop dies but worse, his family sufers and the criminal gets to spends his life in prison because he killed a cop if only the cop left the criminal alone you take away the cops badge then he is just like you and i the only thing differnt from him and i is that he has a peice of paper that says he is beter then you and i and he can arrest us and search us and ruin OUR lives so i say, its the cops fault for dying. he CHOOSED to chase the bad guys. he CHOOSED to become a cop and the sad thing is that its always about politics. they gota keep EVERYONE happy. but you never can keep everyone happy can you?
As much as I hate cops, I seriously found this extremely ridiculous. Do you understand what kind of chaos there would be if there was no law enforcement? If a criminal will kill a cop, that means hell kill anyone because everyone knows killing cops gets you a worse punishment than killing a civilian. It would be a slaughterfest everywhere. Again, I hate cops, but I think they should in fact go after serious criminals and leave weed smokers and other minor offenders the fuck alone.
\ im not saying get rid of the police. i am just saying that they have to many procedures and ways to violate us and our rights and bla la bla bla.....
So now we're going to blame the cops for doing their job and trying to catch a criminal? The criminal is not responsible for... you know... being a criminal in the first place and deciding to shoot a cop when he gets caught? Your logic is ridiculous.
Cops know there's a chance they'll get shot. It's part of the job description. This doesn't mean that they should expect a bullet for chasing down someone. This thread is ridiculous. ...also, I don't think the criminal is "minding his own business". Then he's not being a criminal.

Uhm most cops are just doing their job, by going after a criminal. If they aren't going to keep law and order what are we paying them for? That being said there should be a shift in priorities from getting suspects, to keeping both civilians safe and officers safe by avoiding car chases. They have helicopters in most cities so they should use them rather then put people at risk to catch a perp.
i was really high... im just saying that a "Crminal" is also trying to make a living and support himself and his family for example, for most of us, the guy who we buy weed from its just that a criminal can be anything from the guy who sells porn to a 17 yr old, the guy who robs old ladys, or the guy who sells beer to minors or whhat about the guy who rapes people, the carzy guy with mental issues and kills people for fun, mafia hitmen? as far as the police are concerned, they are all bad people
i dont know ow to change things ,but i had to drive by the bellaire cops furneral today and it had me wondering if the cop had just went about his business and not chased the guy he wouldnt had goten shot not only that, but its sad because it happened on xmas eve day and the cops and the other guys family suffers because their daddy didnt come home that day of course its wrong to kill ANYONE for most cases, but if the criminal wasnt followed, he probaly wouldnt had ended up shooting the cop and the innocent bystander. maybe if the cop didnt chase him at all, maybe he would have lived and didnt put that criminal in the position where he had to shoot his way out
So then what are you proposing? That cops don't bother with criminals at all? So there's basically no reason to have police? So maybe just get rid of the whole police force? And of course, that would never mean a serious rise in crime, what with criminals knowing that they don't have to worry about the police anymore. This is what police do. If they didn't exist, do you not think that criminals would go on a free-for-all of robbing houses and stealing cars? Hell, murder even? Why not? Police can't chase you because you might shoot them. I don't understand what your idea is here.
no i dont think that "that criminals would go on a free-for-all of robbing houses and stealing cars? Hell, murder even?" are you saying 10 out of 10 in society would go rob a house if they can? maybe 1 out of 10 i like to think that most americans are good people, who respect other peoples shit sure if there were no police, criminals will do their thing. BUT they still do their thing even WITH the police around you think the police deter crime from happening? maybe sometimes, but not all the time they will go after the weaker people in society THE PEOPLE WITHOUT GUNS and when you do call for help you have to wait for the police get there. idk what the solution is, the police officer is just one part of the whole problem that is wrong with the currup revenue generation/justice system but yea, basicly the cop choosed to chase after the criminal. and if he had not chased him, he would never have goten shot at and killed i have ran into plenty of situations where the cop choosed not to pursue the criminal for whatever reason the police offcer choose for how many times have yall been stoped by the police. how many of you had weed on you? did you scream out "hey mr officer, arrest me, i broke the law"??? probaly not
