    How did he paint?

    Ever seen the artwork for one of the last two Tool albums? He also has The Chapel of Sacred Mirrors.

    What im wanting to know is did he use acrylic or paint etc.

    So I used the most common search engine (google) and found this Alex Grey

    If you go to the paintings section, below the picture it tells you what medium he used for it.
