Advice on Edible tolerance

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by A.L., May 11, 2022.

  1. I realize this forum has lots of heavy Cannabis users. I dont identify myself on that category, but latley Iv'e been getting concerned on using edible's. Edibles has been my only method of using cannabis. Iv'e only taken them 3 days per week, then have taken 3 day tolerance break to reset it. It has worked for quite awhile. Close on my 23rd birthday I have noticed perhaps a tolerance change happening rapidly. 30 mg has always been my way to get high. From noticing the rapid dosage change I decided to take a 4 week T break. I thought that my tolerance issue would at least go down, but nope, I noticed that 100 mg is the dosage that gets me stoned. Don't know if it has to do the way the edibles are made by potency, if its just my genetic makeup/age/or if its a tolerance issue?

  2. 30 day break did nothing?

    There are a few tricks

    The most popular are

Take Fish Oil / omega 3 every day to clean your cb receptors (when they are “dirty” you can’t get high)

Eat a Mango an hour before you use

P.S. Don’t take more it will just get worse

When I started 10-20 mg would get me stoned out of my mind but after doing that every night for a while it skyrocketed

I once took 850 mg at once and felt barely anything

  3. I would spread it out

You said you use 4 days then 3 day break

When my tolerance went up I started using every other day then every 3 days (that seems to be the sweet spot)

You need to give those receptors a break

I have not heard this anywhere But I have a theory they say when you use you Don’t dream basically you don’t have Rem sleep you have the first stage of the second stage is extended

that can’t be good we must dream for a reason I assume

I think getting that Rem sleep might be the key and you’re not gonna get that if your day after day

if I use and use the next day I won’t feel anything at all just a waste of time

Use one day then take a few days off

Never go back to back days

    See if that helps

Also drink lots of water and exercise every day

  4. You need a more bioavailable edible. The very high ratio of Lecithin used in the BadKat recipe seems to rip down any tolerance you thought you had. I haven't had a sober day in 10 years thanks to this stuff. Three rounds of back to back colon surgery left me feeling like someone had a handful of my guts and was twisting, squeezing and yanking them. Cannabis turns that off like flipping a switch.

The only drawback was I was up several times a night for a toke of two. Then a lung infection kept me from smoking and since I was already shaking my buds for the Kief her recipe was an easy step. Taken for breakfast I'm blazed all day long day after day after day after........

    Decarb 240 F for 40 minutes uncovered
5 grams Decarbed Kief or Powered Buds
1 tablespoon Coconut oil (any cooking oil)
    1/2 teaspoon Lecithin (Supercharger)
    Heat 220 F for 20 minutes
    Freeze (optional)
    Heat 220 F for 20 minutes (optional)
    Done

    Buds 1 drop = 1mg THC
    Kief 1 drop = 3mg THC.

[IMG] 15 grams of Dry Ice Kief
    3 tablespoons Oil
    2 teaspoons Lecithin.

This is as good as it gets so use care finding your ideal dose. To much is really not much fun. :)

  5. Nope Iv'e used it 3 days per week, then I would normally take that 3 day tolerance break. My tolerance didnt go up for a pretty long time till I noticed that somewhere last march.

  6. And yeah I get my edible pieces from my dispensary.

  7. I'm assuming youre implying edibles? Because I have noticed the quick changes of my T levels I believe from doing that. It is surprising because I wouldn't expect it to take a long time for one's tolerance to rise and change rapidly.

  8. Anything Cannabis wise

    Smoking
    Vaping
    Edibles

    Everything will raise your tolerance

  9. As you've been using edibles for cannabis consumption, you've noticed a rapid increase in tolerance, even after taking regular breaks. Previously, 30 mg was enough to get you high, but now, close to your 23rd birthday, you find that it takes 100 mg to achieve the same effect. Several factors can contribute to this tolerance change, such as potency, genetic makeup, age, and frequency of use. It's essential to use cannabis responsibly and consider seeking advice from a healthcare professional or cannabis specialist to manage your consumption effectively.
