A question for you, substrate experts : )

  1. Hi,
this year is very potent for me,
I have about 30 plants all of them turned out
to be females(not feminised:eek:), some of them are
now above 2m, but I noticed weird colouring on leaves and after lab soil analysis I found out ph is
    7,5:D.
So now I would like to put peat(ph
3,5-4,5) on the ground to smash down the ph to 6,5, at least.
Do you have any idea how thick peat layer do I have to put on the soil?
Hehe, now we will see who´s the man.:hello: Thx

  2. I did not know peat moss was a low pH. I use promix which is mostly peat moss and try and give each plant atleast 15 gallons of it. I would figure the more the marrier.

  3. Not sure how much you should use really, but something to consider also is the use of sulfur (Garden sulfur is not too hard to find) since it's commonly used to acidify soil. The addition of peat may help stabilize it at a lower PH over time though, interesting idea.
