A little advice goes a long way!

  1. Hey guys, just joined the forum today, but I've been DIYing it for a few years now.

I figured it's about time to get in around like-minded fellows and fellow-ettes, so here I am!

Anyways, I'm in need of a little advice. up until now I've been making glass pieces from liquor bottles that have been conveniently made and make it extremely easy to make a bong out of. (see below!)

But the other day I was at a head shop and I saw a beer bottle with a diagonal pipe. I've done diagonal drilling before, but the grommets I use can never do the curve, they always just sit awkwardly straight.

Have any of you had luck making anything like that? This is what I've gotten so far, but it only sticks when the downstem is hitting against the edge of the bottle.

I've got a few more ideas, and if I get it right I'll post it up :)

  2. It's alright if it hits the edge of the pipe, you just have to fill it more.

  3. Yeah, I understand that. Although this is probably what I'll do, I guess I'm looking for a more permanent solution to the problem. Reason being, for bigger stems I think anything larger than a 6" piece would look a little unprofessional.

  4. I love huge glass pieces, milking the shit out of them then seeing if you can clear them lol
