a few questions about how to make cannabutter

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by Undercovrbrothr, Jun 8, 2011.

  1. Is it ok to use leaves that have fallen off or dead/dying ?
or do you use only trimmings and leftovers when you harvest?

I have a plant where some of the lower leaves fell off and another member suggested making hash with them. It got me thinking and I just have a couple quick questions for you guys.

if the plants are still being fed a nutrient solution is it still ok to use the leaves? I wasn't sure if it would be safe to ingest the nutrient solution.
is it even worth it to attempt to make cannabutter with these leaves ? there's no visible crystals on them yet, since plants have just started flowering.

If I do want to save them , can I just throw them in a ziplock bag until theres enough ? should I put them in the freezer?
