Without hierarchy, how can people exploit greed? not saying you can't be greedy without power, but if you have no power, your greed affects no one. Greed and Government are very related.

Wrong. It enables wealth, not power. Wealth only equals power because it can be used to pay off government, who have a monopoly on the legal use of force. The problem isn't wealth or capitalism per se. In a free market the most powerful group is the consumer. In order to succeed the demands of the consumer must constantly be heeded. That is capitalism.
There's a difference between power and authority. Wealth gives you power, not authority. Communism/socialism gives power and authority to a dictatorship of the majority.

There are forms of hierarchy in Africa. There is no central giver meant but each operatin clan has hierarchical order. Starting with a leader.
