So im thinking about putting in either a 600 watt hps in the middle of it, or 2 250 watt hps lights hung up about a foot away from each other. My question is would the 2 250 watt lights be more efficiant if im using as much floor area as possible for growing? i know the total lumen output is less, but think about it. light dissipates exponentially fast, so once the light gets about 2 or three feet away it loses about half its output strength. as apposed to one light in the center which is far from the walls cause plants on the edge to suffer, im thinking to put the 2 250 watters in side by side to get rid of some of that space between the lights and the edge of the room. Am i right on this or just wayy to overthinking it lol
so i have decided to go with the 600 watt. has anyone had any experience with grow lights from ebay? they have some great prices!
Check your local shops and 'networks' to see if any good used stuff is available. Craigs List, too. I haven't done any eBay lites but, I know HTGSupply goes thru there.
Thats funny, the seller i was looking at was actually exclusively htg supplies. So thats all legit? i was mostly worried because the prices seemed a little too good to be ok. there is one hydro shop in my state that is actually opening on saturday, but it may be too expensive since theres only one around.
i have a 4x4x7 and rockin a 600w. if you do ebay, go witht he HTG.. although ive seen a couple others that seem ok.. would maybe go a dif bulb.
