Hello everyone! Glad to be here. This is my second indoor grow journal. My first is basicaly my start up. I have grown many outdoor greenhouse medical grows, but this is my first indoor grow. My setup I'm using now is is 4x 600 watt led lights. 2 by viparspectra, and two from Mars hydro. They both put off full spectrum but one is higher blue and white lights and the other if higher reds. They mix great. I'm growing in 7x 3 gallon pots that are mixed with Dr. Earth's pot of gold, a bit of bat guano, kelp, fish, perlite and peat Moss. Trying to be as organic as possible but not sure what I'm going to use for the flowering process. Still open to suggestions. I have 7 different strains that i will be using the lst technique to even out the canopy. I am along for the journey! Which light do you prefer? Looks like the mars is the one with more red in it. EDIT- ok looked through your journal that answered my question
Gonna kick it in this journal. R u planning on leaving the pots in the same placement throughout the grow? I'm curious to see if the Viparspectra or mars grow better yields
At first I didn't like the vipar spectra because of all the blue. I didn't think it would make for the very best flowering light. Maybe some one could help me out with my venting worries. So I have a grow tent in my room. I have a 430 fan pumping the hot air out of the top into my room. The fresh air it's getting is also from my room. So fans pumping air in, just the one pushing all the air out but it creates suction so I have the bottom two mesh screens opened. Is this a good enough source of co2 or should I be bringing in fresh air from out side? Nice setup! I have one 430 or 440 fan pushing the air out and I just bought one more of the exact fan to pump fresh air in. Just have to figure out a way to hook it up to a window for fresh air. I think i migh use my old ac window adapter piece. Well I only have one 300w led right now but I will be getting another in about a week I hooked up my exhausts just a second ago and will add a photo soon but my intake air in from a portable a/c unit Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Couldn't you just open a vent at the bottom and let the exhaust fan pull in fresh air? If your fan is creating negative pressure in the tent, (sides being sucked in), try opening a lower vent or 2 to let in air until you have neutral pressure. Since I exhaust to outside, I let the cool air from my floor get pulled in then you can crack open a window sometimes if you need to, but the air in the room is a similar temp to the atmosphere in the tent. The pantyhose is an excellent filter idea! I need to put it on my open vents to keep out fuzz and dirt. (a very wordy way to say thanks for the pantyhose! Haa!)
